Interface madness.
We've shown you a lot of really nifty pictures of spells and characters and all that but we've yet to talk about some of the more fundamental (and potentially cool) modifications we've made to the user interface. Let's go...

Figure 1 - The Main View
|

Figure 2 - The Action Menu
|

Figure 3 - The 'New Life' Screen
|
I'll start off with the world interface (Figure 1). The main view. This is where you play. It's big and spacey for you to see all the nice people and locations we built for you. The portraits across the bottom are quite a discovery. They move and animate. WHOA! That's right folks, not only do they move and animate but they change appearance depending on the condition you're in. For instance, your PC will look beat when he is going to die, he will look poisoned, petrified, paralyzed etc. How's that for `information'?
The next difference you will notice is the action menu (Figure 2). This pops up with a right mouse click and it brings with it a slew of options for you. This is where you will likely launch your strategic attack, fire off that devastating spell, or pickpocket a merchant. The action menu gives you access to specific character and group abilities.
Another change you may notice is the `New Life' screen. (Figure 3) This is where you will modify the Nameless One and other party members (if you earned them HAHA). This is one of the first screens you hit in the game and it is our `character generator', See, and you thought you were all locked in to playing a static character. Not true my friend, we made sure you have control.
I'm going to wind up with two more things for you. A promise and a present. One, I promise to reveal more inner workings of the game next week if you care to read this. Two, There are some animated GIF's of Annah in the screenshots section by popular request. (Thanks Josh).
Thanks for listening,
Tim
